• Comply with all OSHA safety requirements & policies, as well as report unsafe conditions, accidents, or incidents immediately to the plant manager.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to read GPS, a city, or a county map.

• Valid Issued Commercial Driver’s License – Class A or B

Essential Job Function:

• Operate a front-end loader to move aggregates from the stockpiles into the plant for continued operation.
• Review order cards for the upcoming day and assess the amount of aggregates needed.
• Check and monitor aggregate inventories.
• Monitor plant operation and report any abnormalities to the Plant Manager
• Keep plant grounds clean and orderly.
• Perform daily and weekly plant maintenance.
• Safely operate a Forklift.
• Check fuel inventories weekly.
• Repair minor breakdowns; contact central maintenance for major repairs.
• Perform general yard upkeep such as shoveling discharge away from the conveyors and washing down the yard with a hose.
• Loading customer vehicles
• Monitor orders and delivery of aggregate
• Operate loader to clean water storage or other areas.
• Operate hand controls to move radial stacker belt to position over appropriate aggregate bin.
• Connect hoses and monitor tankers unloading.
• Start up and shut down the plant each workday.
• Assist with disposal of leftover concrete.
• Assemble and break down concrete forms to use with leftover concrete.
• Comply with the Company’s personal appearance policy, safety, and P.P.E. policies.
• Operate Heavy Equipment in a safe and effective manner.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks, including checking oil.
• Maintain the Equipment by keeping the interior and exterior clean.
• Practice workplace, truck, and equipment safety according to OSHA standards.
• Establish and maintain a professional and friendly relationship with the Company’s customers, clients, management & co-workers.
• Comply with all safety requirements & policies, as well as report unsafe conditions, accidents, or incidents immediately to the plant manager.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Issued Driver’s License
• Experience with Heavy Equipment is Preferred
• Must be able pass pre-employment physical & DOT drug/alcohol screen.
• Able to work flexible hours and shifts, be dependable and punctual.
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
• Able to work during the day and at night, depending on customer needs.
• Certified to operate forklift or ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Ability to be trained to operate all equipment needed and general plant maintenance.

• Ensure work is in compliance with all safety standards in the workshop and on the jobsite.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment (this can include equipment 50 lbs or more)
• Inspect, test, and measure completed work to verify conformance to standards and repair requirements
• Perform Routine Maintenance work on Equipment and Vehicles
• Record All Maintenance and Repair Information completed on every piece of equipment
• Stay updated on the latest diesel engine technology and repair techniques

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Issued Driver’s License (CDL Preferred)
• 3-5 Years of experience in Diesel Mechanics (concrete industry or related industry preferred) OR 1-3 Years with a vocational or technical degree in diesel mechanics
• Experience working with Heavy Equipment
• Clear Understanding of FMCSA Requirements, DOT Regulations, and OSHA safety standards
