Summary:

A Concrete Deliver Professional ensures the timely delivery of concrete safely and professionally. The driver is expected to load, mix, and distribute products according to the customer’s satisfaction.

Essential Job Function:

  • Able to work flexible hours and shifts and be reliable and punctual. The employee must also be willing and able to work long hours up to the maximum allowed hours of services permitted by DOT and state law.
  • Willing and able to work at any time throughout the day/week/month.
  • Establish and maintain a professional and friendly relationship with Company’s customers, clients, management & co-workers.
  • Responsible for collecting C.O.D. deliveries in full and return to the Company.
  • Ability to perform job functions as defined by the Company’s policy and management.
  • Comply with the Company’s personal appearance policy, safety, and P.P.E. policies.
  • Able to regularly climb heights of up to 13 feet on a ready-mix truck, using the truck steps and ladder, and work on a truck catwalk at an elevated height, in a front discharge ready-mix truck you must step down into the truck cab, perform daily Department Of Transportation pre and post-trip truck inspection, perform routine plant maintenance tasks, general cleaning, use small power tools and manual labor hand tools, lift 45-50 pounds and lift chutes chest high
  • Maintain a clean exterior and interior of the truck.
  • Comply with all OSHA safety requirements & policies, as well as report unsafe conditions, accidents, or incidents immediately to the plant manager.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to read GPS, a city, or a county map.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Issued Commercial Driver’s License – Class A or B
  • DOT Medical Card
  • Must be insurable by the Company’s insurance carrier and not have points on license more than the insurance company’s acceptable policy.
  • Able to pass pre-employment physical and D.O.T. and drug/alcohol testing.

Diesel Mechanic

Summary:

Diesel Mechanics play a vital role in ensuring our commercial trucks and heavy equipment operate safely and effectively on the yard and road. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, diagnosing, adjusting, repairing, and overhauling mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

  • Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems 

Essential Job Function:

  • Perform Truck repair and maintenance work per factory and industry standards
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs
  • Thoroughly examine parts for excessive wear or damage
  • Run diagnostics on vehicles
  • Work closely with other team members to meet company goals
  • Ensure work is in compliance with all safety standards in the workshop and on the jobsite.
  • Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment (this can include equipment 50 lbs or more)
  • Inspect, test, and measure completed work to verify conformance to standards and repair requirements
  • Perform Routine Maintenance work on Equipment and Vehicles
  • Record All Maintenance and Repair Information completed on every piece of equipment
  • Stay updated on the latest diesel engine technology and repair techniques

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Issued Driver’s License (CDL Preferred)
  • 3-5 Years of experience in Diesel Mechanics (concrete industry or related industry preferred) OR 1-3 Years with a vocational or technical degree in diesel mechanics
  • Experience working with Heavy Equipment
  • Clear Understanding of FMCSA Requirements, DOT Regulations, and OSHA safety standards
